I saw a trend going around on Youtube where luxury bag channels shared the items they would repurchase, and I thought it would be a fun fashion topic to share. At first, I started listing out all of my favorite things from all categories but I felt like it was a little all over the place and harder to narrow down to just 10 items, so I decided to focus on the fashion items for the current season were in. If I lost everything in my wardrobe and had to start over from scratch, these are the 10 items I would repurchase first.
Frye Ivy White Sneakers
If you’re on the hunt for a white sneaker, check out my Ultimate White Sneaker Review. I’ve tried over 10 different popular sneakers and spoiler alert, these are my favorite. I tried sneakers at all different price points, and these even beat the higher-end designers. I love the quality, they’re easy to clean, I love how simple they are (no logo), and most importantly, they are so comfortable. The only negative is the price, but they are 100% worth it. For inspiration on how to style them, check out this post.
To see how I made these easy to slip on, watch this quick little video on Instagram.
J. Crew Juliette Cardigan
This cardigan is surprisingly warm and is a go-to piece of mine this time of year. It’s versatile because you can dress it up for work but it also looks great casually on the weekends with jeans. And for how thin it is, it’s surprisingly warm because of the material it’s made out of (35% wool, 35% cashmere, 35% nylon). I sized down 2 sizes from my normal size, but I suggest watching this video for a size comparison to get the look you want.
I shared a size comparison of this cardigan here, along with different ways to wear it!
Classic Check Burberry Scarf
This is one of the most used designer pieces in my wardrobe. I reach for it constantly throughout fall and winter! I love to layer it under my coat for a pop of color or wear it on it’s own. It’s 100% cashmere and keeps you warm without being bulky. I actually just purchased a second one with a SAKS rewards gift card because I wear mine so much!
If you love the look but don’t want to splurge, check out this look for less option.
Amazon Tunic Sweater
I was torn between this and a classic cashmere sweater, but I ended up going with this sweater because it’s the one I’ve worn the most over the last few years. I own it in 3 colors: white, apricot, and light pink. I was reading the reviews and it does look like there are some sizing inconsistencies, so keep that in mind when you get your order. This sweater is actually a similar look for less option to this sweater.
Camel Wrap Coat
I know I’ll easily get a great cost per wear out of this item because it’s such a classic piece. It looks great with nearly everything, even leggings and sneakers! When shopping for a coat, you want to look at the description for the material. The higher percentage of wool and or cashmere, the better! That will keep you warm without the bulk. I wear it open for a more casual look, and wrap it up when I want to look more polished.
My camel wrap coat is from Reiss and it’s tailored really nicely in the shoulders. If you want to layer chunky knits underneath, I would size up. I got my normal size 6 because I like a closer fit for my coats.
Spanx Booty Boost Leggings
I was so torn choosing between these or the Lululemon align leggings, but I ended up picking the Spanx because I don’t think any other legging compares to them. They slim your legs and flatten your stomach and make me feel more confident when I wear them. I wear a size medium in Spanx and you can use code AMANDAJOHNxSPANX for 10% off.
The align leggings are great for comfort around the house, but I do think these leggings from Amazon are just as comfortable if that’s what you’re looking for.
Saint Laurent Lou Lou Bag
If I lost all my handbags and had to slowly replace them, this is the first bag I would repurchase. Although technically, I would repurchase it in a lighter color. I got this bag in a darker color because I own this lighter color in the crossbody already. I love carrying crossbody bags so it’s easily my most carried handbag over the years. However, I would go for the Lou Lou style over the crossbody because I think it’s more versatile since you can wear it on your shoulder or crossbody.
I share a more detailed review of the YSL crossbody bag here!
Zella Cozy Wrap Coat
This is my favorite cozy piece to wear around the house. If you’re going to be pregnant, postpartum, or looking for nursing-friendly options this upcoming season I can’t recommend it more! I wear a size small and have the color white. In person, it’s more of a heathered white gray. It’s long enough for leggings and you can button and wear it 3 different ways.
I know I’d have to repurchase a sweater dress because they’re my most worn item this time of year. This is the first sweater dress that comes to mind that I would want for the current season, but it’s sold out at the moment in this color. I rounded up some similar options below:
Lululemon Belt Bag
I was surprised how often I use this bag, it’s so practical and comfortable when you want to be hands free. It’s great for walks, taking Josie to the park, errands, filling up gas, travel, grocery shopping… I can go on! For its size it also fits a surprising amount, too. I fit a full-sized sunscreen in there, along with a diaper or two when traveling with Josie. This would be such a great gift idea for the holidays, and has been one of my go-to gifts for my friends and family this year.
I have a review of the lululemon belt bag here!
