5+ Dress and Sneakers Outfit Ideas
Before we dive into the different outfit ideas, I had to link similar options for most of the dresses below because the exact ones weren’t available. But each gives you an idea of how to style them and how versatile white sneakers actually are.
Midi Dress with White Sneakers
Take me back to Charleston! When we visited Charleston last year, I basically wore dress and sneakers outfits the whole trip. The dresses kept me cool, while the white sneakers were comfortable to wear while strolling the beautiful streets.
This first outfit option is a midi dress with puff sleeves. It’s a bit more elevated because of the sleeve detail and opted to carry a straw crossbody bag to complete the look. Straw totes or straw crossbody bags are the perfect accessories to carry throughout the spring and summer.
Satin Skirt with a Moto Jacket and White Sneakers
This isn’t a dress but wanted to show you how effortless white sneakers even go with skirts. This street-style look combines a satin skirt with a moto jacket. I layered a white t-shirt underneath. Because the white t-shirt is thin, I can easily tuck the shirt into the skirt without it looking frumpy.
Puff Sleeve Mini Dress with White Sneakers
The next outfit option combines a mini dress with white sneakers. The exaggerated puff sleeves are stunning, and they can actually be pulled down to be an off-the-shoulder dress too. I wore this look out to dinner on our vacation to 30A. The 30A area is very walkable, so wearing white sneakers was a great option to be comfortable yet stylish.
Tiered Maxi Dress with White Sneakers
This beautiful maxi dress is one of my favorites from the brand, The Drop, on Amazon. Long flowy dresses pair well with white sneakers for a casual spring look. If it’s chilly, you can layer a denim jacket over the dress to complete the look. Here is a great example of how to style a straw tote with a spring or summer look.
I would wear this outfit to lunch or brunch on the weekends. If you’re traveling, this would also make a great outfit to explore the city or town you’re visiting.
White T-shirt Dress with a Kimono
The next outfit combination combines a t-shirt dress with a kimono. If you have a bump, most summer dresses can be or are bump-friendly, depending on the structure and material. But I found when I was pregnant with Josie that dresses were easy to style in the spring and summertime with a bump.
To add a little color to white summer dresses, a flowy kimono is a great layering piece. It’s not too heavy and adds the perfect finishing touch to your look.
Long Sleeve Floral Dress with White Sneakers
The next dress silhouette you can pair with white sneakers is a long sleeve mini dress. An all-over floral print is beautiful to wear in the spring and summer. This particular dress was from Red Dress Boutique. I linked a similar one from there. This would be a great option for Easter. If you’re headed to church, you can wear sandals or wedges with the dress. Then, once church is over, you can change into sneakers for a more comfortable option (or for those competitive Easter egg hunts).
Button Up T-shirt Dress with Sneakers
A t-shirt dress with the button detail is a casual staple for the spring. It’s easy to throw on for travel or everyday activities on the weekends. Layer a denim jacket over the top with a backpack purse to complete this casual look.
Those are just a few ways to style a dress and white sneakers. Though white sneakers pair well with denim shorts, they look equally as amazing with most dresses in your closet. So if you don’t have a pair of white sneakers yet, grab a pair for the upcoming warm-weather season.
Pro tip: if you don’t want to knot your laces with your white sneakers, put the extra that you would typically tie in a knot, inside of your shoes and line the sole with the excess. It’s a modern way to wear white sneakers.
