I purchased a pair of Agolde Parker Vintage Cut Off Shorts in 2019 and would you believe me if I told you I haven’t bought a single pair of denim shorts since? I was used to buying new denim shorts every summer season because I was always looking for something better and more flattering, until I finally broke down and tried the Agolde jean shorts. I’m sharing an honest and in-depth Agolde Parker Vintage Cut Off Short review and how to wear them.

Agolde Parker Vintage Denim Shorts Review

It took me a while to pull the trigger on these shorts because of the price. I was used to spending less than $50 on denim shorts every year. However adding it up now, I easily spent more through the years trying to find the right pair. Once I tried the Agolde pair on, I understood the hype because of their fit and comfort.

Agolde offers a variety of washes and styles. My go-to is the Parker Vintage Short. However, they also offer seven other styles, including: Parker Long, Parker Long with Cuff, the Criss Cross, Dee Short, Stella Short, 90s Short and IRA Short. Agolde offers a wide-range of sizing from 22-34.

About the Parker Vintage Shorts

The Vintage Parker Shorts feel exactly like a vintage pair of denim shorts should feel – not too tight or baggy and love how they fit throughout the hips. They feature a 2.5″ inseam with a leg opening of 24.5″. I typically wear a size 6 in most bottoms, and wear a size 28 in Agolde shorts. For height reference, I’m 5’5″. The shorts also aren’t too tight around your thighs, making them super comfortable to sit in. I love that they have an ever-so-slight amount of distressing to keep them looking on-trend, but not over the top.

Agolde Shorts vs. Abercrombie Shorts

Another popular brand for denim shorts is Abercrombie. I did a full-review of their denim jeans HERE. The most comparable style from Abercrombie to the Agolde Vintage Parker shorts is probably the High-Rise 4-inch Mom Shorts. These are a great option too, but think the Agolde has a better fit through the hips and thighs, compared to these. The Abercrombie Mom Shorts come in four washes and available in sizes 23 to 37.

They do have a Curve Love option in the Mom Shorts that provides two extra inches through the hips and thighs, which helps get a closer fit to what the Agolde shorts feel like.

How to Style Your Agolde Parker Shorts

What I love about the Agolde Vintage Parker Shorts is that you can dress them casually or dress them up for something like a date night. Below I’m sharing several pieces you can style with the shorts to create a variety of outfits.

Casual Summer Look with a Kimono + Agolde Parker Shorts

An easy way to style your Agolde shorts during the middle of the summer is to style with a light tank and kimono. Kimonos come in a variety of colors and patterns, so it’s super fun to show off your sense of style through them. If the kimono is heavy with pattern, I’d suggest wearing a nude tank like a white or cream. You can finish the look with slide sandals and a sun hat. This would be a great outfit to wear on vacation when you’re walking around the town.

We aren’t quite there yet, but as we inch closer to the fall time, Agolde Parker shorts transition well into the fall too. I like styling an oversized plaid shirt or tunic and front tuck the shirt into the shorts. Then, pair either mules or booties with it. It’s the perfect outfit for those 60 and 70 degree temps (which I will welcome any day of the year).
