Hi Friends. Bringing back one of my favorite series here on Strawberry Chic where I round up the highlights from the week. Let’s get started!
I finished Layla by Colleen Hoover and though it’s not my typical read, I thoroughly enjoyed it! I almost bailed on it because it kinda spooked me in the beginning (the storyline involved a ghost), but I’m glad I stuck with it because the twist at the end was worth it! Here is what I’m reading next.
I don’t know who I am but I’ve had a desire to learn how to garden and potentially grow some tomatoes this summer! Two weekends ago, I pulled weeds with Tim and felt so accomplished after the fact, who knew?? We’re painting the exterior of our house next month and I’ve been shopping for patio furniture, so I’m super motivated to improve our outdoor living space to get out and enjoy it this summer. We’re looking into adding windows so we can actually enjoy it for most of the year. If you have any experience with that, I’d love to hear about it! How cute is this garden tool set, I had to have it 🙂

At the beginning of the year my goal was to create more routines and be intentional with my time. There are so many different areas I want to work this into my life day to day, so it’s an ongoing process I’ve been working on. Some of the things I’m adding into my routine include: unplugging from my phone at night to read, prioritizing myself with an at-home workout a few days a week, and setting more work boundaries, like stop scheduling sponsorships on the weekends. The past few weeks I was feeling so overwhelmed with my to do list I realized I completely got away from being intentional with my time so I got back on track this week and I’m feeling so much better! I still need to work on waking up a little earlier so I don’t feel as rushed into the morning once Josie wakes up. But it’s a work in progress! I started listening to The Ruthless Elimination of Hustle in the car, and it’s definitely thought-provoking and has given me some peace so far.
In case you missed my reel on Instagram, Target is having a 30% off sale and BOGO 50% on shoes. Watch my latest try on haul here!
This was my favorite outfit of the week. I had a much-needed girls night that filled up my tank!
I can’t stop wearing these Target shoes! They’re surprisingly so comfortable.
I started doing my winged liner with this brush and have been loving the look! It’s slightly less precise, in a good way! Just gives it a softer look overall. And a little tip for all my blondies, using a gel liner is great because you can paint the gel along your lash line to cover up the gap between your mascara.
I just discovered this brand and have been loving the few pieces I just got in. You can see them on in this try on haul.
I switched up my typical gel manicure for regular polish and I’ve been impressed with the longevity. I’m pretty predictable and always go for a pinky-white shade, so the one I picked up is pre-show jitters.

Wishing you all a happy long weekend
