Affordable Summer Basics from Free Assembly
Every wardrobe needs a little white dress during the summer. It’s so easy to throw on and style throughout the season. Whether you want to dress more casually like I did with this look or dress it up a bit with wedges or heeled sandals, the options are endless when it comes to what you wear with a white dress. I think this would be so cute to wear on a honeymoon, to barbeques, a beach vacation or other summer festivities. This dress is under $35 and comes in a navy color too!

The next summer wardrobe basic I’m loving from Free Assembly are these blush pink utility shorts. I styled them two different ways. One outfit is a little more dressy and the other is more casual. I’m wearing a size 6 in the shorts, and they fit true to size.
For a more casual look, I paired a square-neck flutter sleeve top. It’s a light top that can be styled with other items in your closet like a midi skirt, jeans, denim shorts or linen shorts/pants. I did a front tuck on the shirt to give the overall look more structure.

This darling navy gingham dress fits like a dream with the faux-wrap detail and a-line skirt. It has a back zipper with a self-tie belt, which I tied into a classic bow to add a feminine look to it. This would be a great dress to wear to brunch, baby/wedding showers, a summer vacation or dinner on a patio. I styled with slides, but you could also wear with heeled sandals or a classic pump to dress it up even more. This dress is under $35 and also comes in a minty green color!

I love dressing up, but it’s also nice to have a variety of casual top options to pair with different shorts throughout the summer. This shirt is one of those tops. Most of the time, I’m in casual outfits while working from home or playing with Josie, so this top will be one I reach for often.
