weekly highlights

I found some cuuuute girly finds rounded up here, here, and here.

So far I have been loving my newest read, Ugly Love.

I’m still loving the at-home lash extensions. I tried two brands the last two weeks and both are great. Lilac St has a much thinner and lighter band, so they are more comfortable overall but I wouldn’t say Flutter Habit wasn’t comfortable. I applied the Flutter Habit again on Thursday and they applied more naturally than the first time I used them, but I wouldn’t want anything more dramatic than this for daily wear. Both sets last 6-7 days on me if I’m careful with them. I’ll post a video on TikTok/ IG Reel sharing how I apply them this weekend.

Lilac St:

  • glue is tackier (I apply the clear coat to take that away)
  • The brush applicator is easier to use
  • Very lightweight and natural
  • Come in different lengths

Flutter Habit:

  • come in a set of 6 so is more cost effective
  • Comes in set styles (I wear the shorties since it’s the most natural option)
  • Thicker band
  • More dramatic look on the eyes

I made this healthy chicken salad recipe this week and enjoyed it for lunch every day! I ate it with a side of arugula topped with sunflower seeds. For the dressing, I just drizzle oil and freshly squeezed lemon on top. You could make a sandwich or eat it with crackers/pita chips if you prefer.

Healthy Chicken Salad recipe:
  • 3 cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 2 celery sticks
  • purple onion (I used about a quarter because it’s strong to me)
  • chopped spinach and arugula (I used probably 2 handfuls of each, why not)
  • 2 tablespoons mayo (I used this one because it has great ingredients)
  • The recipe I followed called for green onion as well, but I didn’t have it on hand

Another recipe Tim and I have added to our routines is a beet juice in the early morning. He noticed a difference drinking it before his peloton rides, since beets are a natural vasodilator. For that reason, they are also effective in lowering blood pressure, so I started drinking about 8 ounces daily. We also still love to drink the green juice I shared in this post between breakfast and lunch.

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 beet
  • 1 green apple
  • Juice from 1 lime
  • Handful of carrots
  • 2 handfuls of spinach
  • ginger (about half the size of your thumb)

weekly favorites

This favorite is such an oldie but a goodie because I’ve raved about it for 2+ years now. I haven’t been wearing it until recently because I assumed it wasn’t nursing friendly, however, it’s actually easier to nurse since it’s so stretchy! Trust me, every girl needs this bra. I recently tried the convertible triangle bra and it’s not as good… I honestly barely stay in it if you know what I mean lol.

I reach for this cozy jacket almost daily! It can be worn open or closed up as a wrap and if you’re postpartum or looking for something easy to nurse in.. this is a great option. It’s a thicker sweatshirt material with a cozy texture on the inside. I have a size small.

weekly outfits

This pink cropped sweater will be featured in Sunday’s try-on haul on Youtube, but I was too excited to share it with y’all early for an OOTD. It’s very soft and stretchy so sizing is pretty forgiving (I’m wearing a S/M). This would be a cute look for a casual Valentine’s Day look with friends.

We had a snowy Sunday here in GA and I wore this cozy pink loungewear set all day. I always feel a little more put together in a matching set even when I want to stay in comfy cozies all day. I’m wearing a size 6 here and you can get 22% off with code STRAWBERRYCHIC

I wore this sweater last week and love the girly details so much I styled it again here with jeans. I’m wearing a medium and it’s roomy, but they were out of the small so I may get it altered at Nordstrom (gotta love their free alterations). These jeans are comfortable enough to wear around the house and you can get 22% off with code STRAWBERRYCHIC until the end of the month.

I wore this outfit out for lunch with a friend and wanted to stay comfortable because it was so cold and rainy. I’m just wearing socks here, but I wore these duck boots to keep my feet warm and dry.

weekly purchases

I’ve purchased a few Winter to Spring transition pieces from Walmart, Target, and Amazon, so look for try-on hauls from all three the next 2 weeks on Youtube and Instagram.

I ordered these heeled sandals that are a look-for-less option to this pair! I love the new colors they came out with this season but wanted to compare them for y’all since it’s almost a $100 price difference.

I shared an Express try on haul styling a lot of work outfit ideas

I rounded up my Nordstrom must-haves and a lot of them I’ve had for years.
