If you’re feeling a little overwhelmed by all the shoe options in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, this post with help break down my favorite styles, along with ways to wear them and how the sizing runs.
Shoes are one of the best categories to shop in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I know for some people it seems a little strange to be buying boots in the middle of summer, but you’ll be glad you got them early once the season gets here.. especially since they’re on major sale!
In this post, I’m breaking down my favorite knee-high boots, flats, booties, and casual shoes available now in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.
Knee-high boots
I wear knee-high boots weekly throughout the fall and winter seasons. They pair well with jeans, dresses, and leggings and can be dressed up or down. I typically wear them most often casually with a pair of skinny jeans and an oversized tunic. But I also like to dress them up with a sweater dress.
Leather Knee High Boot
These knee high boots were at the top of my wishlist this year, they’re just gorgeou! I was on the hunt for a boot in this color all last season and couldn’t find one in my budget. The heel height isn’t too high and they are comfortable to walk in. I didn’t find them to run big like the online reviews say, but I prefer to have a little extra room in my boots. I recommend getting your normal size, but if you are in between sizes, size down.

Leather Bootie
Finding a neutral leather bootie was on my shopping list from last year, so I want to try these! I bought the knee high boots from Reiss last NSALE and the leather was buttery soft. I’m a little worried the heel height will be too high for what I’m looking for, but nonthless I have to try them! I love the tone of this color with the contrasting black sole. This is the only shoe I’m still waiting to receive in the mail, so I will update you on comfort and sizing once they come in!

I love how white boots have made a huge comeback. If you have a light and airy wardrobe like I do, this is a great boot for you! It’s surprisingly very easy to style a white boot throughout the season because you don’t have to worry about different neutral browns clashing with your outfit.
WORK + CASUAL FLATS
The flat options in the sale this year are so good! There are some great neutral staples that can be dressed up for work or styled down with jeans.
Cassady Loafer Mule
I love how they updated this style in the sale this year. These are very comfortable with some extra cushion on the sole, so they would be great for work! This type of shoe is a great transitional shoe because it’s closed-toe but still open in the back. It can be styled casually with shorts and jeans, but is also perfect for a business casual work environment. If between, size up half.
Ugg Slipper
These remind me of the shearling Hermes Oran’s from last season! I love to pick up a new ugg slipper in the sale each year because I wear them around the house daily. I’m even wearing them now while writing this post! I got these in early and they run TTS, if between size up. These have a thinner, more flexible sole than typical ugg slippers.
Click to ShopA quick note about this Ugg slipper in the sale. They run much smaller than last years version, so I recommend sizing up! I ordered my normal size and felt like I was falling backward in them, and I think sizing up would help!
Becca Pointed Toe Slingback Flat
These are a favorite of mine in the sale this year. The nude pointed toe is especially flattering and elongates your legs. I love a slingback style and this one feels secure on the heel with an adjustable strap. Not to mention, these are extremely comfortable right out of the box! They run tts.
Madrid Big Buckle Slide Sandal
I never thought I’d see the day when this style was on my wishlist, but this color looked right up my alley to try them! They’re a creamy white and a shiny gold buckle. So many of y’all rave about the comfort, so I’m excited to try them! The buckle does need some breaking in, but the bottom feels like it’s molded to the foot and very supportive. They run TTS.
Kristina Pointed Toe Mule
These were a best seller in the sale last year, but they honestly aren’t my favorite. They are pretty floppy on the foot and don’t feel very stable. They are comfortable if you’re just standing in them, but if you’re doing any walking I think you may get annoyed with these. If between, I recommend sizing up in loafer-style shoes since your foot can move around a little bit. You want to have some extra room at the heel.
BOOTIES
Booties are a must-have fall essential in my book, especially here in the South! They are great to transition between seasons. I love to pair booties with jeans and dresses throughout fall. I always recommend going with something everyday and neutral first if you’re building a wardrobe, but if you have a good essential there are some fun, trendier options in the sale this year.
Braylen Pointed Toe Bootie
This was my favorite casual bootie in the sale this year. The light tan is a gorgeous neutral with no weird undertones, and I love the subtle gold piece on the back of the heel. These have a pretty low, comfortable heel height. They run TTS
Ramson Western Boot
These are such a fun, on-trend bootie for the season. I love the blushy undertones and for a trend, I find this one to be very wearable. I styled them a lot in this years free lookbook if you’re looking for outfit ideas! They are TTS.
Layne Western Bootie
I was able to order these early during the preview glitch and they are much prettier in person than the online photo! In person, they are more chocolate brown. These actually surprised me because they are very flattering on the leg and also really comfortable. If you’re looking for a unique and trendy boot to add to your wardrobe, this is the pair!
