If you’re feeling a little overwhelmed by all the shoe options in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, this post with help break down my favorite styles, along with ways to wear them and how the sizing runs.

Shoes are one of the best categories to shop in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I know for some people it seems a little strange to be buying boots in the middle of summer, but you’ll be glad you got them early once the season gets here.. especially since they’re on major sale!
In this post, I’m breaking down my favorite knee-high boots, flats, booties, and casual shoes available now on sale in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.
Knee-high boots
I wear knee-high boots weekly throughout the fall and winter seasons. They pair well with jeans, dresses, and leggings and can be dressed up or down. I typically wear them most with shorter dresses here in the south, but I also love to wear them with longer midi/maxi dresses and skinnier jeans with sweaters.

SARTO by Franco Sarto Genevieve Knee High Boot
Price: $169.99 ($270 after the NSALE )
Sizing: I prefer to always go up a half size in boots to accommodate a thicker sock or insert during the fall and winter season. These ran slightly big on me, especially compared to the other styles, but not enough to size down.
Details:
- 1 3/4″ heel
- 16 1/2″ shaft; 14 1/2″ calf circumference
- full side zip closure
Thoughts: The heel height is very comfortable and the suede is soft and luxurious. They have a slight slouch to them. I would personally avoid the white suede, because it seems like a nighmare to keep clean — and that’s coming from someone who loves creamy tones and boots! If you’re petite, you’ll probably have to slouch these down since it has a taller shaft length.
Styling: See them styled here with a sweater dress under $40. Best for everyday casual wear but can be slightly dresses up with dresses.

Vince Camuto Lumina Pointed Toe Boot
Price: $149 ($249 after NSALE)
Sizing: These ran on the smaller side to me. If you have a wide foot, I would recommend to size up a half size from what you normally do in boots.
Details:
- 2 1/2″ heel
- 15 1/4″ shaft; 14 1/2″ calf circumference
- half side-zip closure
Thoughts: There are a lot of color options to choose from (8 total) in a variety of leather or suede depending on what you need in your wardrobe. My top recommendation would be this summer beige shade because it will go with everything and is easier to keep clean than a suede.
Styling: see it on here with a sweater dress under $40. Best for everyday casual wear but can be slightly dresses up with dresses.

Schutz Ellen Up Pointed Toe Boot
Price: $179 ($268 after NSALE)
Sizing: I prefer to always go up a half size in boots to accommodate a thicker sock or insert during the fall and winter season. I got my normal boot size in these.
Details:
- Pull-on style (no zipper)
- 3 1/4″ heel
Thoughts: These are a sexy knee high boot, but they run a little too narrow for me in the foot and my higher arch, plus I think the heel is too skinny and tall for me to comfortable wear.
Styling: See them styled here with a sweater dress. Best for dressier outfits with dresses and skinny jeans.

Ansley Kitten Heel Knee High Boot
Price: $384 ($578 after the sale)
Sizing: I prefer to always go up a half size in boots to accommodate a thicker sock or insert during the fall and winter season. I recommend getting your normal boot size.
Details:
- 1 3/4″ heel
- Side zip closure with elastic gore inset
Thoughts: These boots are gorgeous. I can tell the quality upgrade compared to the others, but it comes at a higher price point. This boot has a thicker, more structured leather, is very padded in the sole (almost feels like it has an insert!) and the sole is leather, making for a softer stride. This would be my top recommendation if you’re looking for an investment boot.
Styling: see them styled here with ponte leggings and a sweater. Best for an elevated outfit.

Marc Fisher LTD Perina Knee High Boot
Price: $199 ($325 after the sale)
Sizing: I prefer to always go up a half size in boots to accomodate a thicker sock or insert during the fall and winter season. I would recommend your normal boot size.
Details:
- 2 3/4″ heel
- 15 1/2″ shaft; 14 1/2″ calf circumference
- Side zip closure
Thoughts: I love the rich brown color of these boots and that the seam is on the side vs. the front like the Vince Camuto option. The price point seems a little high compared to the other brands in the sale.
Styling: Best for everyday casual wear but can be slightly dresses up with dresses.

Dolce Vita Tarren Knee High Boot
Price: $179 ($275 after the sale)
Sizing: I prefer to always go up a half size in boots to accommodate a thicker sock or insert during the fall and winter season. These run TTS.
Details:
- Inset side-zip closure
- website doesn’t disclose the measurements, but it seems to be a 3.5 inch heel height
Thoughts: If you have a strong classic boot collection, these are a fun knee high boot to add in a little personality. I was gifted this boot from the brand, and while I’m excited to have them and style them in Jackson soon, I’m not sure I would have bought them for myself just because they’re a trendier option – there are other classic options I’d consider first. With that said, they are very comfortable, the suede is good quality (it’s thicker than the first suede boot) and they seem well made for the price point.
Styling: Best for casual wear and paired with mini or midi dresses or show off the detail.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Try On Haul
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is here and I’m so excited to dive into my first Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Try On Haul of the season. I’ve got a mix of pieces from past sales as well as some new favorites to..
Read the PostWORK + CASUAL FLATS

Price: $69 ($115 after the sale)
Sizing: I can be an 8.5 or 9 depending on the sytle and brand, and I usually always find Steve Madden to run smaller on me so I went with a 9. I think they run smaller, and with a slide on shoe like this I like to have a little room on the end for my foot to not slide out.
Thoughts: These come in color options that work for summer or fall. They’re comfortable, but I wouldn’t wear these if I was doing a lot of walking (like a shopping day for example). I would have been fine wearing these to work though!
Styling: Best for transitional weather, workwear, and paired with ankle jeans or dresses.
Steve Madden Ira Pointed Toe Mule

Marc Fisher LTD Grissy Slingback Flat
Price: $99 ($150 after the sale)
Sizing: I can be an 8.5 or 9 depending on the sytle and brand. I got the 9 in these and they’re too big. They seem to run longer than a typical 9.
Details:
- Adjustable slingback strap with buckle closure
Thoughts: They have comfortable padding on the insole and I like that the strap is adjustable. They’re a little too pointy for my taste personally, and I think there are better places to spend your money in the sale.
Styling: Best for transitional weather, workwear, and paired with ankle jeans

UGGS
Left: UGG® Tazzette Genuine Shearling Collar Slipper ($69 | $100 after NSALE)
Right: Classic Ultra Mini Spillseam Genuine Shearling Bootie ($109 | $170 after)
Sizing: With uggs I always get a 9 since they don’t carry half sizes. The slipper on the left feels a little tighter because it has more fluff, but I know it will give to the shape of my foot with wear.
Thoughts: Between the two, the collar slipper on the left is more comfortable and feels like much better quality – which is interesting because it’s significantly cheaper. I do love the style on the right and find them very flattering (I like the wider opening around the ankle compared to traditional uggs).. however, they aren’t as plush as I would like and therefore not as comfortable as I know they could be. I’m still torn on keeping them or not because I do love the style, but which they had the same sheap tecture as the one on the left.
