Q&A

Hey friends! So excited you’re here to get to know me a little better. I’d love to connect on Instagram, where I share daily life on Instagram stories. Feel free to reach out and say hi, I always love getting to chat with new friends.

WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

I’ve lived in GA my whole life, only moving away from my hometown of Woodstock, GA for college. I went to Columbus State for two years where I played softball, transferred, and graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2012, then moved to Savannah, GA for Physical Therapy school. I now live with my husband in a suburb not far from my hometown.

WOULD YOU EVER MOVE?

I don’t think we would move to another state at this point in our lives because we like to be near family. Both of our parents live within 25 minutes from us, so it’s nice to be able to see them for dinners and holidays. We’ve always loved the idea of moving to the midwest, but we probably wouldn’t consider that until later in life.

HOW OLD ARE YOU?

I’m 31 and my husband Tim is 33.

HOW TALL ARE YOU?

I’m 5’5”

HOW DID YOU MEET YOUR HUSBAND TIM?

We met at work only a few months before I was leaving for PT school. I actually did my interview one week after our first date, so the majority of our relationship was long distance. It was hard at times, but I really needed that space to focus on school and grow as an individual. I actually knew he was the one pretty much right away. You can get to know us a little moreQ&A here.

HIDDEN TALENT?

I’m very good at impersonating people. Tim wants to put a hidden camera in the car and start a YouTube channel called front seat concerts, haha! I can also walk on my toes like a ballerina, and I’m naturally very flexible and athletic.

DO YOU WEAR HAIR EXTENSIONS?

I don’t during the workweek, but for blog content and when I’m going out with friends I feel much more confident wearing hair extensions for thickness! I currently wear barefoot blonde fill-in extensions.

FAVORITE RESTAURANT?

I’m embarrassed to admit I still order kids’ chicken fingers at Longhorn. I still have the diet of a child, and I guess I’m somewhat picky when it comes to food 🙂 I love Spiller Park’s avocado toast, sushi, tacos, and of course, Chick Fil A

FAVORITE VACATION?

It’s a tie between our honeymoon in Hawaii and our first trip to Europe together this past fall. We visited London and Paris last October.

FAVORITE CITY?

Rome, Italy was my favorite city to visit so far. I definitely want to go back with Tim and visit the coastline next time! London is a close second because I’m obsessed with the Royal family. As far as my favorite place in the US, Savannah, GA always feels like a second home to me. I grew up with family there and lived there for 2 years during PT school.

FAVORITE COLOR?

To be specific, my favorite color is blush. I also love light blue because I feel like it’s a relaxing color.

WHY DID YOU START YOUR BLOG?

I started my blog at the end of 2013 over Christmas break after a very stressful start to Physical Therapy school. I didn’t know what to do with my spare time anymore, and I had contemplated starting one as a creative distraction from school. Once I decided to pull the trigger, I threw it together with the first name I thought of. I don’t even remember my first blog post, but I don’t think I want to look back at them, haha. I didn’t think anyone would ever see this or I would still be blogging now, but I love it!

WHAT DO YOU DO FULL TIME?

I’m a full-time influencer. Before I took my business full time, I was an outpatient physical therapist. It’s still crazy to me that I do this full-time, but I’m grateful for my journey to get here. You can read about my transition to being a full-time blogger here. If you’re want to learn more about being an influencer, let’s get connected in my private Facebook group where there’s a full community of support from other influencers!

What advice do you have for someone wanting to start a blog?

I have a ton of blogging tips and resources on my blog, so be sure to browse there if you’re interested in this business! But the biggest step you can take is to just start. Don’t let the fear of judgment or failure stop you from following your dreams.

  1. Hi.
My name is Rocio. I recently started a blog. I took your Profitable Influencer course. I’m trying to make a clickable visual collage like the one on your ultimate gift guide and I’m having such a hard time. Every time I try to upload the file on wordpress, it only uploads the link and not the clickable image. I’ve searched everywhere on how to get the clickable image on the blog and I haven’t been successful. Do you have any suggestions? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

    • Hi! The ones in my gift guide were created using the rewardStyle moneyspot tool! For clickable images from Canva, they have to be a PDF and usually WordPress requires that to be a file to download.
