If you’re heading to Asheville, North Carolina, for a weekend getaway, I wanted to share my recent weekend bachelorette trip in Asheville itinerary. I was there for a long weekend for my friend’s bachelorette party, and it was the perfect combination of relaxing and fun.

Weekend Bachelorette Trip in Asheville Itinerary
Finding the perfect location for a bachelorette weekend can be tricky. You have to consider where everyone is coming from that will be attending. Then, you need to decide what it is the bride has her heart set on doing. With that information, you can decide what destination would best suit your needs. For us, it was Asheville, NC. Here’s what we did on our fun girls’ bachelorette trip!
Thursday – Our First Day in Asheville
First, we checked into our Airbnb, which was too cute! We had a total of 13 girls in the house, and had plenty of room to get ready. The decor and finishes were gorgeous, and there was a hot tub and fire pit to enjoy the view of the river. The only negative was there were no full-length mirrors, and the driveway was slightly scary to navigate in and out. It had a big drop off right in front of the house.

If you want to stay in a hotel versus an Airbnb, Asheville has plenty to offer too. I read that the AC Hotel by Marriott is centrally located in downtown among others. You can also opt to stay in a bed and breakfast, a cabin hidden in the hills or a boutique-style hotel. The options are honestly endless.
5:30 Walking Brewery Tour
I’m not a beer drinker by any means, but I enjoyed learning about the process and science that goes into different types of beer. Plus, you get to hear a little about the history of Asheville and get great recommendations for food.
7:45 Dinner at Buxton Hall BBQ
We finished the tour right next door at this highly recommended BBQ restaurant. I split the fried chicken sandwich with my friend, but the real winner was the sausage ball appetizer we split.

Friday – Our Second Day in Asheville
11:00 Brunch at Early Girl Eatery
We had a full day planned on the itinerary for the weekend bachelorette trip on the second day. Located in west Asheville, this came highly recommended by y’all, and it didn’t disappoint. This is a farm-to-table, southern-comfort breakfast menu.
12:00 Hike at Catawba Falls
This was the coldest day in Asheville, so we were hiking in 20-degree weather. I wore two layers of leggings (one being fleece-lined) with a long sleeve Lululemon top under this puffer jacket. I was only cold the first few minutes and was comfortable the rest of the hike. There was a point in the hike where we had to cross over a river on stepping rocks. If you’re not comfortable with that, you may not make it to the top (right picture). The hike overall was very easy. I never got winded, and I’m out of shape, haha!
2:00 Drinks and Tacos at New Belgium
After the hike, we built up an appetite and headed to a brewery for drinks and food. Outside of New Belgium, there are food trucks. The day we were there, there was only one, but the tacos were so good! I ordered a chicken and waffle and gyro taco.
7:45 Pre-dinner drinks at 5 Walnut Wine Bar
We headed downtown early and had a drink before dinner. A guy walking his dog highly recommended to stop into this bar for wine, and we weren’t disappointed! They had $5 wine specials, and the service was very quick. There is live music on the weekends around 8:30. The venue is pretty intimate, so get there early if you have a large group.
8:30 dinner at Strada
I’m not sure if I had just build up an appetite, but this meal was my favorite of the weekend! I split the Tortellini Alla Vodka and a cannoli with my friend, and everything from the bread and appetizers to the last bite was delicious.
Dancing at MG Road Bar and Lounge
We walked to this bar after asking a few locals for their recommendations. It’s the only nightlife we hit in Asheville, but we had fun here!
IMPORTANT NOTE: Asheville has a very strict maximum capacity regulations, and this place could only hold 49 people. If you hate crowds, this is the place to go for a relatively open dance floor. We waited outside for a long time before going in! But the music was on point if you love a good early 2000 playlist.
Saturday – the Third Day on Our Weekend Bachelorette Trip
9:45 Breakfast at home with Hole Doughnuts
We cooked breakfast at home and had two girls make a quick run to Hole Doughnuts to save time. This is another place that came highly recommended. The donuts are made to order and is more of a croissant donut. We tried the sesame cinnamon, matcha, classic and cinnamon sugar. It was a good idea to cut them into bites so everyone could nibble and try them all!
11:15 Biltmore Tour
This is pretty pricey ($55) and if the group isn’t into history, I wouldn’t spend too much time here. We didn’t have a tour so we walked around Googling any specific questions. It’s just crazy to me that people make that kind of money.. haha! If you have the option, I would have preferred to go in the spring or summer, when the gardens are bloomed.
2:00 Lunch at Village Social
We went to Antler Hill Village on the Biltmore Estate property for lunch, but I would honestly recommend going elsewhere. It wasn’t worth the hefty price tag. I paid $20 for a soggy sandwich and would have preferred to spend more time exploring downtown Asheville.
2:45 Complimentary wine tasting at the Biltmore
The real reason we went to Antler Hill Village was for the complimentary wine tasting.
5:00 – Bachelorette Games
During this time before a late dinner, we played a game at the house. We had the bride guess who brought which panty based on their personality. It took a little while to narrow down, but was very entertaining.
8:45 Dinner at Chestnut
We happened to be visiting during restaurant week, so I ordered the trout special with a side of snow peas and fingerling potatoes. The pairings were all very unique, and there was a good mix between indulgent and healthy meals.
9:30 Dessert at The Chocolate Lounge
We saved room for dessert and headed over to The Chocolate Lounge. Again, we had to wait outside in the cold for a few minutes before ordering. I ordered the chocolate creme brulee, which was very light but indulgent at the same time. They do run out of dessert the later it gets. If you have your heart set on something, you may want to get there a little earlier!
Sunday: Our Final Day on Our Getaway
10:30 Breakfast at Tupelo Honey
We checked out of the Airbnb early and headed to breakfast before heading out of town. This was my favorite breakfast from the weekend. I ordered avocado toast and eggs with a side of chorizo sausage. The portion was a little disappointing for $15 avocado toast, but the sriracha honey drizzle made up for it.

Where to eat in Asheville
CURATE Our tour guide from the brewery tour said this was by far the best restaurant in Asheville, even if you can just get a lunch reservation.
Where to grab a drink in Asheville
Asheville has more breweries per capita than any other U.S. city, so one weekend isn’t enough to explore them all!
Book Exchange and Champagne Bar – Dog-friendly champagne bar
This rooftop bar came highly requested for a great view on the city

What to do in Asheville
Blue Ridge Parkway – Voted one of the most beautiful drives in America
French Broad River – This river runs through Asheville, and you can take a self-guided tour down the river in a tube, kayak or canoe.
River Arts District – Asheville has an active arts district where there are over 200 art studios.
Downtown Asheville – Filled with eclectic boutiques and unique finds. We didn’t really spend too much time downtown, so I want to explore the city during the day next time!
If you want to have a unique pampering experience, I thought this Salt Cave looked really cool!
Our Asheville bachelorette weekend was so much fun. I highly recommend it for a bachelorette party of just a fun town to explore for a getaway.
