I’m counting down the days until the Taylor Swift concert! If you too scored tickets to her upcoming Eras Tour, I’m sharing what to wear to a Taylor Swift Concert. Because this concert feels very nostalgic, I curated a few different looks that coincide with that particular “era.”

I’m still deciding what Era I want to dress in for the concert. I’m torn between Fearless and Lover! I have these cute cowgirl boots that would work well for Fearless, but I think Lover would be so fun and dreamy, too.

UPDATE May 2023: I went to the Eras concert in Atlanta at the end of April and I wanted to share what I wore! I was going to go with Fearless and do a sparkly dress and cowgirl boots, but I decided to go with more comfortable footwear and I’m so thankful I did! I wore my favorite white sneakers and I was comfortable up on my feet for 3 hours. If you’re looking for the best white sneaker, I reviewed a lot of popular options at all price points here, and I shared different ways to style white sneakers, too!

I bought my sequin dress off Poshmark to save over half the retail price, but I also found this similar option if you want the look for less!

What to Wear to the Taylor Swift Eras Tour

I’ve been a Swiftie since she graced us with her musical talent and topped the charts with her hit, Tim McGraw. I apologize in advance if that song now gets stuck in your head.

She and I are both 1989 babies, so I feel sort of like I grew up with her. So as I practice all the lyrics and prepare to belt them out all night long at the concert, I want my outfit to match my excitement level.

Fearless Era Outfit Idea

The album Fearless was released in 2008, which was two years after her debut album. Fearless still remains the most-awarded album in country music history. Taylor’s style during this era consisted of lots of sparkles and fringe mixed with a few Western-inspired touches.

Speak Now Outfit Idea

Speak Now was released when Taylor was in her early twenties, so I think she was finding her voice more and more during this time period. During this era, you could spot her wearing cute dresses, cowgirl boots with some sparkle mixed in. If you don’t have cowgirl boots, a white ankle bootie will look just as cute!

Red Era Outfit Idea

In 2012, Red was released along with her love for all things vintage. And because the album was titled, Red, there were pops of red in almost everything she wore during this period of time. The Nars lip pencil in the color, Dragon Girl, is one of Taylor’s personal favorites.

Reputation Era Outfit Idea

Reputation era was a bit of a “darker” time period. This era featured lots of black, fewer frills, and a more edgy style than we are used to seeing Taylor in. After transitioning from country to pop a few years prior, we see a shift in Taylor’s style and overall vibe.

Lover Era Outfit Idea

In 2019, the album Lover was released, which was all rainbows, butterflies, and hearts. It was a very whimsical era with pastel colors, sparkles, and sequins. Let’s just say it was a huge shift from her Reputation era.

Midnights Era Outfit Idea

Her most recent album, Midnights, documents her late-night writing sessions. If you’re wanting to mimic this era in clothing, think star prints, sequins, and a slightly 70s vibe. I’m planning to wear sequins because… “best believe I’m still bejeweled when I walk in the room…”

Though these aren’t all of her eras, these make up a good majority of them. I can’t wait to see what songs she plays and how she will perform and cover her music career that has spanned almost two decades.
