This may be my favorite monthly faves + fails to date! I’m so excited to share what I’ve been loving throughout June. I discovered new summer beauty essentials, my new favorite (actually comfortable) heels, and my new favorite travel self-tanner.
JUNE FAVORITES: FASHION

Stop whatever you’re doing and order these shoes. I’m not even kidding! For $25, you can’t go wrong with this comfortable pair of block-heeled sandals. I wore them every night on my cruise from dinner to 2AM and had no trouble dancing in them. I think Target shoes run larger, so I bought a 7.5 (I’m typically an 8).
These on the other hand, run small, which I typically find with J. Crew shoes. These reminded me of a pair from Sole Society I kept eyeing at Nordstrom but were $20 cheaper during a weekend sale. These are comfortable, but not as comfortable as the shoe above. The first day I wore them for 6 hours while running errands after a baby shower and I only noticed the start of a blister once I got home. My friend who never wears heels wore these on the cruise and also thought they were comfortable. Because there is a platform the heel height is very manageable.
Madewell Jean High Rise Shorts
Summer shopping is definitely the most challenging for me.. trying on swimsuits and figuring out what to wear under tank tops are definitely not my favorite tasks. I also had shopping for jean shorts because finding the perfect length isn’t an easy task either. I try to stick with a midrange short (3-5 inch inseam) and something not too tight but not too baggy, either. These Madewell shorts are perfectly in the middle at 4 inches and another perk is the fold over doesn’t constantly roll down. I purchased a size 27 and I’m typically a 28 in jeans.
Straw bags are on trend for summer whether you’re on vacation or just shopping at Target on the weekend. I love the top handle style of this affordable bag from Amazon. You can mix up the look by adding different charms or scarves. My tassels are two charms put together, and I think I want to go ahead and order a third color to add to the mix!
JUNE FAVORITES:Â BEAUTY

Supergoop Invisible Setting Powder SPF 45
I thought this product would be too gimmicky and didn’t think I could trust it for sun safety; however, this was the only product on my face I reapplied with while in the Bahamas and I didn’t burn! I applied the Coola sunscreen from my FabFitFun summer box and wore the It Cosmetics CC Cream to even out my skin tone. I touched up with this once or twice while out and about and I also had minimal new freckled after the trip. Mind you I also wore a small fedora to protect me as well, but I always wear a hat when in the harsh sun. This won’t mess up your makeup, plus I like not having to touch my face to reapply. I always breakout after a trip to the beach, but I didn’t this time!

Sunday Riley Martian Mattefying Melting Toner
I got this recommendation from Visions of Vogue, who I always trust when it comes to clean skincare! She was right, this product does wonders if you suffer from acne. I think it’s so effective because it contains Manuka, a natural antibacterial ingredient. It’s pricey, but considering I only use a quarter to half a pump, I know it will last long enough to justify it. Especially now that I know it works! Be sure to read my top 3 acne products if you suffer from routine breakouts.

This product is both a favorite and a fail this month (see below). I took these on my cruise to touch up my self-tan after a long day at the beach and I’m so glad I discovered them at the beginning of summer. Tan towels are the easiest self-tanning product on the market. No mitt, lotion, or drying required, making them perfect for travel. I will warn you there is no color guide, so I sometimes end up with missed spots in certain areas, unlike other self-tanners that go on dark right away.

I’m convinced there is no better false lash on the market. For under $10 you get a pack of three and these are by far the most comfortable pair of lashes. They feel featherlight on the lashes and the thin band makes application a breeze! I always cut off the last band on the end to fit them to my eye and keep them looking natural.
JUNE FAVORITES: LIFESTYLE
Girls Cruise: I rarely get the chance to travel because I always un-justify it and make an extra payment towards my student loans (ugh). I finally took some time off and headed to the Bahamas with some girlfriends on a Carnival Cruise. We had the best time, and luckily the 4 day trip as more than enough time to unwind (it felt like way longer being stranded on a boat without internet, ha!). I wrote up my review on the Carnival Elation that will go up sometime next week.
I actually never thought the day would come when I wanted an Apple Watch, but here we are! I plan to do a review on it so I don’t want to spoil too much, but I’m glad I ended up purchasing it. More on the Apple watch later…
This is a carefree motivational book anyone can relate to. I took it with me on the cruise and it was easy to put up and down as needed, which is my preference for poolside / vacation read. Each chapter is based on a lie she believed and how it’s the wrong way to go about life. If you’re looking for a light read to get your off your butt pick this one up!
I was really happy with the summer FabFitFun box and have been using a lot of products included in the box. Some of which may show up in my July favorites! I did an unboxing on Youtube if you want to see what it came with. I think it’s the best subscription box on the market!
JUNE FAILS:
Tarte Lights Camera Lashes
I only gave this a one time try and that was enough for me to determine I’m not a fan. The fibers felt like dirt in my eye, and the results were lacking, especially for the amount of time it took to add three layers of mascara. The mascara tinted my blonde lashes black… I didn’t notice any length or volume.
Classic Tan Towels
I decided to finally give these a try and although the application was by far the easiest, the color payoff wasn’t enough for me in the classic formulation. I’m super fair and could barely tell a difference except for a yellowish tone on my feet. Definitely get the dark formula if you give these a try.
Check out todays video about my June Favorites over on my Youtube channel. I chatted about a few more things not mentioned in this post that I’ve been loving throughout June.
Have you tried any of these June favorites?
