It’s been a while since I’ve done an InstaChic roundup on my latest Instagram outfits and I’m thinking this will be the more common method to keep my fashion related content up to date by sharing multiple Instagram outfits in one post verse a featured outfit on its own. What do you think?? I’m sure I’ll still share featured outfit posts, but this will help keep them more up to date before they sell out.
First things first, you made notice my site has got a bit of an update! I’m officially switched over to Wordpress and have a fancy new layout. I’m still learning the new platform, but I’m so excited to create better content on here! What do you think of the layout? Let me know if there’s anything you’d like to see differently or a suggestion to make it easier for you to navigate!
Now to the Instagram outfits #InstaChic
Over the weekend my friends and I had planned a trip in the North Georgia mountains. Little did we know Georgia would get the biggest snowfall in years at the same time. It was all fun and games in the snow until the power and water went out and we weren’t prepared. We had no source of light, didn’t have enough water, and only had a wood burning fireplace in the main living room. Luckily we “roughed it” as us millennials would say and were able to get off the mountain and back home the next day. Although that was an adventure in itself, Tim and I were locked out of our house without power since we typically enter through the garage. LESSON LEARNED to always have a backup key somewhere. Luckily a locksmith ventured out in the snow that night to help us get in ($$$). This photo has been one of my top Instagram outfits this year!
I was excited to see they brought back this tulle sleeve top from last year because it’s one of my favorite looks on Strawberry Chic! If the tulle sleeves aren’t enough flair for you, you can pin a bow to the back like I did here. Pops of pink is my favorite, so I paired one of my favorite MAC lipsticks with my pink accessories to complete the look.
Another Instagram outfit worth recreating. This affordable cowl neck sweater is on sale and perfect for a cozy look over leggings or jeans. I got my regular size but you can probably get away with sizing down. This leopard clutch has been a staple in my wardrobe for four years now so I can definitely say it was worth the splurge for me. If you’ve been eyeing it, I definitely recommend adding it to your Christmas list this year!
If you haven’t got your hands on a chenille sweater you are majorly missing out. It’s the softest and most comfortable sweater you will ever own. You can find them at about every price point, but this one is the same quality and on sale for $20! It’s a little shorter than I would like, so if you didn’t want to front tuck it into higher waisted jeans then add a top underneath to layer it like I did here. Sadly, my bow flats are sold out, but I found a similar pair on sale if you like them! I always get compliments on these shoes when I wear them. I have lived in these AG jeans since I finally splurged on them during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale.
This cold shoulder ruffle sweater gave me instant heart eyes! I instantly pictured it with white jeans for a light and airy take on fall fashion. If you’re on the market for white jeans, now is probably the time to invest in a good pair on sale since they’re typically more popular during the warmer months. It definitely takes a few pairs to find the right one, most of them I try on are completely see-through or not flattering but this pair from Paige denim was definitely worth the price. They soft and stretch and you don’t have to worry about things showing underneath.
I loved this green pleated skirt so much that I also purchased it in black. I usually lean towards skirts verse dressed when I need to dress up because I think they’re just more flattering on my hourglass type figure. They’re on sale for $12.99 and low stock so if you want to snag it while you can! I’m wearing a size 6 and the waistband is stretchy so I think you are pretty flexible with the size you choose. I’m wearing a small in the sweater and it’s pretty oversized for typical H&M sizing.
You know I’m a sucker for a bow detail! I love how it looks layered with an oversized poncho. I also like the mix of grey and taupe in this poncho. I ordered a size medium and I always purchase the return insurance when ordering from Shein!
Thanks for checking out my latest Instagram outfits! Luckily I think everything is in stock, it’s a miracle, haha! You can read my previous #InstaChic volumes here.
