I’ve said this many times before, but I consider pink a neutral. When I say pink, I usually mean a blush, very muted pink, rose or mauve color. When you think of business attire, many neutral colors come to mind like navy, white, cream, black, gray and brown colors. But actually pink is very easy to incorporate into your workwear rotation. Today I’m sharing how to wear pink to the office and still look professional.
For more workwear inspo, I have an entire section of my blog dedicated to just workwear. That way, you can feel and look your best every day at the office.
How to Wear Pink to the Office and Still Look Professional
Before we dive into the how to wear pink, let’s talk about the shade of pink. I don’t normally gravitate towards a hot pink or super bright pink. Hot pink is fun to incorporate into your wardrobe for specific occasions like a beach vacation. But if we’re talking workwear, then I’m referring to a very muted pink. It’s beautiful to wear with other neutral colors and puts a fun spin on your normal workwear colors.

Make a Statement with Pink Ankle Pants

The first way I like to incorporate pink into my workwear wardrobe is through an ankle pant or trouser. It’s probably the boldest way to wear pink, but it looks beautiful styled with a neutral blouse. Trying wearing different textures like lace shown in the second picture above. The white lace against the dusty rose pants is feminine and chic, yet work appropriate.
These particular ankle pants have a seam down each pant leg to give the look a more dressed up feel. They have a hook and eye closer and back welt pockets. For length reference, they have a 28″ inseam. For a more budget-friendly option, HERE is another pair too.
Finish the with a tote bag to carry all your essentials to work in.

Wear a Pink Blazer

Blazers are another great way to wear pink to the office. The above picture shows the look with muted pink ankle pants paired with a white blazer. A blazer is one of my workwear staples and love the white against the pink. I finished the look with one of my favorite pairs of flats featuring a pearl detail on the strap. They’re comfortable and look gorgeous with a variety of looks from pants to skirts and dresses.

With this outfit, we’re reversing the pattern and wearing the pink in the blazer. This tweed blazer with the gold hardware is stunning. I opted to pair it with black pants and nude pumps. But you could also pair the tweed blazer with white, tan or even pink pants shown below.
I like wearing a white or tan bodysuit underneath this blazer because it tucks in nicely into your pants or trousers. I just tuck the two ends in and don’t snap the bodysuit, so it feels more comfortable.

Pair a Pink Blouse with Neutral Pants

One of the easiest ways to wear pink to the office is to wear a pink blouse with neutral pants. To create more looks and wear the same shirt and pants, try adding a cardigan, coatigan or blazer over the blouse and change out your shoes. You’re not having to reinvent the wheel constantly and can get a good price-per-wear out of your clothing that way too.
Wear a Pink Dress or Skirt

If you enjoy wearing skirts or dresses to work, try these two looks. Pair a soft pink skirt with a feminine top that has ruffles or a bowtie. You could also do the reverse and wear a pink blouse with a white or cream skirt.
The below dress is a beautiful option to keep in your wardrobe. It’s one of my favorite sweater dresses because it’s comfortable, fits well, bump-friendly and nursing-friendly. I like to pair the dress with nude heels but you could also wear flats with the dress too.
