As the temperatures start to get warmer, I’m getting excited for patio weather and all things outdoors. I think Josie is going to love being able to get outside more too. As the seasons change, I like to take inventory in and around our house to see if anything needs updating or a little refresh. Our patio is no exception. When spring arrives, it’s basically like blowing the dust off our outdoor spaces. One of my favorite places to get our outdoor essentials is Walmart. So today, I’m sharing patio refresh ideas from Walmart.

Patio Refresh Ideas + Outdoor Activities from Walmart

A cozy and welcoming patio area is nice to have if you want to sit outside for dinner, read a book or gather with friends. You want the space to feel inviting and almost like an extension of your interior space. That way, you’ll use it often and can enjoy being outside more.

What makes it easy to shop at Walmart for all your outdoor essentials is that they make shopping easy. Whether you want to browse your neighborhood store, shop online or do a store pickup, you can choose to shop however it works best for you.

Warm Weather Hangout Space

To create a welcoming patio space, I like to start with an outdoor rug. The rug makes the area feel more welcoming and gives texture and color to the overall look.

Then, it’s time to choose what type of patio furniture you want. Walmart offers everything from dining tables and chairs, conversation sets, chair/ottoman sets and everything in between.

We chose a 4-piece living set with cushions. Our set has a bench that seats two, a table and two armchairs. This one is very similar to the one we have, and love the white against the brown finish of the wood.

I added pillows to the chairs and bench to add a little more color and tie it all together with the rug.

Finish the Patio Space with Decor

To add the finishing touches to your patio refresh, surround the patio set with planters and include in-season florals. If it’s not quite time for flowers, you can always add faux plants until it’s nice enough to plant real. When it comes time to plant flowers, be sure to check out Walmart’s amazing Garden Center.

Outdoor Activities for Kids

This is Josie’s first spring, and she’s at the age where she’s curious about everything around her. I can’t wait to play outside with her and want to get some activities for us to use. Bubbles are always a fun, kid-friendly activity, and Josie loves watching them. I found this 8 pack of bubbles, and should last us a while.

Though Josie might be a bit too young for it, I found this adorable playhouse. It has little shudders and think adding a little table inside would be so much fun for toddlers.

To keep cool, this water table looks like the perfect addition to an outdoor space. It will keep the kids entertained while you enjoy your patio set. 🙂 I rounded up a few other kid-friendly activities Walmart offers too.
