As the weather gets cooler, we generally have to say goodbye to our shorts and replace them with something warmer like denim jeans. But there are some great alternatives to jeans that you can wear throughout the fall season. You know my love for my Spanx faux leather leggings, but I’ve found that the Spanx faux suede leggings are also fun to wear and easily styleable throughout the cooler months of the year. Today I’m showing you my favorite ways to style faux suede leggings. You’ll feel chic while also feeling warm and comfortable. They just might be your new fall staple this season!

I’ve styled my Spanx faux leather leggings multiple ways over the years on my blog and YouTube channel, and they’ve always been a closet staple of mine. This year, Spanx released new suede leggings, and I’ve got to say they’re just as good as the faux leather pair. They have a bit more structure than the leather leggings, but still have the stretch for a comfortable and moveable fit. The suede pants hit at your natural waistline for the most flattering fit, and offer hidden tummy-shaping technology.
The suede leggings also have an inseam down the middle of each leg for the most flattering look. If you’re between sizes, I’d size up one. I generally wear a size 6 in pants and wear a medium in all Spanx leggings. You may need to do the Spanx shimmy into these when you first get them, but they’re meant to feel slimming around your tummy! They also come with a petite, regular and tall inseam. The suede leggings come in four beautiful fall colors including camel, chocolate brown, olive and merlot. Below I’ll show you how I like to style them.
Style for Workwear

These might be the most comfortable workwear pants you’ll ever have besides the other Spanx black workwear pants I always talk about. Pair the leggings with a blouse that’s easily tuckable and not too bulky. You could also wear the leggings with a blouse bodysuit if you prefer. I typically don’t wear my bodysuits snapped, and just tuck it into whatever pants I’m wearing. Finish your workwear look with pumps or knee-high boots. If you prefer more coverage in the back, you can layer a boyfriend blazer over your blouse. You could also do a long cardigan if you prefer that over a blazer.
Style for Casual Wear

Fall and winter fashion is all about mixing and matching pieces to create multiple outfits. For example, wear denim jeans with an outfit and then switch them out for suede pants the next time. For casual looks, you can style faux suede pants multiple ways.
For a casual outing like going to the pumpkin patch, pair the leggings with a tunic and layer a denim jacket over the top. Finish the look with a low-heel bootie. Instead of the tunic, you could also do an oversized graphic tee, if you prefer.
If you’re wanting a more elevated casual look, wear a bodysuit or fitted tee tucked into your leggings and add a ruana or cardigan over the top. You can finish the look with booties, knee-high boots, over-the-knee boots or mules. This is a great fall outfit to wear to a baby or wedding shower or out to lunch with your friends. You could also wear this look out to dinner. Just trade out the ruana for a blazer for a great transitional day-to-night look.
Oversized Sweater with Faux Suede Leggings

Another casual way to style the faux suede leggings is pairing them with an oversized sweater. To elevate this look a bit, I paired the leggings with knee-high boots. But you could also wear this look with booties or mules. This is a great example of an outfit that can easily be styled with denim jeans, faux leather or faux suede leggings. Get multiple outfits by switching out just one piece of the look. You could wear this to a fall party, Thanksgiving dinner (hello stretching waistband) or for a business casual look at work.
For a casual look to run errands in, I wore an oversized sweater with the chocolate brown leggings. You can pair white trainers or slip-on shoes for comfortable weekend outfit.
Ruana with Over-the-Knee Boots

This chocolate brown pair is so beautiful in person. It’s a rich, fall color that pairs well with a lighter brown boot. The contrast of the two colors compliment each other well. I paired a bodysuit with a ruana to finish the look. Transition this look by trading the ruana out for a blazer or leather jacket.
Wool or Puffer Vest

This goregous wool double-breasted vest is a show-stopper. I started with a basic, long-sleeve white tee and layer the wool vest over the top. Then I paired the leggings with pumps for the perfect workwear look. If you run a little on the warm side at work, this is a great alternative to a full-on blazer. I also love that it hits at the knee for added coverage. For a casual look on the weekends, trade the wool vest for a puffer vest and sneakers.
I think you’ll really love styling these new suede leggings, and become one of your favorite fall fashion staples this season. And don’t forget, you can use my Spanx code – AMANDAJOHNxSPANX – at checkout for 10% off your entire purchase.
