5 Classic Wardrobe Basics + How To Style Them

A little white dress is always a wardrobe basic, but especially in the spring and summer! You can easily dress it up or down with the switch of a few accessories. Here I have it styled with another wardrobe basic, a denim jacket. To see how to style a denim jacket 10 ways check out THIS POST. For an elevated, yet casual feel, add espadrilles and a straw tote bag. If you wanted to dress this look up, I would switch out the espadrilles and add the quilted bag from the wardrobe basics list!

Another wardrobe staple is a classic pair of black pants. This was one of my most worn items when I worked as a PT full time. I love that I can wear them all year long and simply switch out my top to make it feel more summery or give them a winter feel. Another most-worn piece of mine are these neutral pointed toe pumps. I’ve worn these to weddings, out to brunch with my girlfriends, to important work meetings and more. They’ve been just about everywhere with me. I love how they instantly make an outfit feel more put together. And they are super comfortable!

For this girls night out looks we are putting a fun twist on the classic white blazer and straight leg jean. In this look we are using four of our wardrobe basics to create a put-together vibe that is perfect for grabbing drinks with your girl friends. Every wardrobe needs a great pair of jeans that they can pair with a t-shirt and sandals for a casual look or add a blazer and heel to dress it up. This just goes to show that blazers aren’t just for work wear!

For a casual brunch look, pair your favorite white jeans with a sweet striped ruffle top and embellished sandals, like these studded ones!
