I’ve been a fan of the Tory Burch Miller sandals for years. They are by far one of my most worn pair of shoes that I reach for year after year. In fact, I own three colors! I did a full review of the sandal here, along with the many ways to style them. But today, we’re going to talk about the newest Miller on the block – the Tory Burch Miller Cloud.

When I first saw these online, it wasn’t really love at first sight. After all, the original Miller sandal has been my ride or die for years, and I didn’t think anything could replace them. They have a very orthotic look to them online, and I’m not usually a fan of chunky-styled shoes that draw a lot of attention to my feet. However, I was pregnant at the time they came out, so I was curious if the new Miller Cloud would be a better option for me.

I purchased the ivory color, which I thought fit my light and airy wardrobe best. But many retailers offer a variety of color options, depending on your personal style. A few colors are even on sale at the moment (over 50% off, linked here!) at Nordstrom.

Do You Need the Tory Burch Miller Cloud Sandals? Detailed Review!

How comfortable are the miller cloud sandals?

I was very pleased with how comfortable these sandals are right out of the box. It feels like heaven when you walk in them because of the excellent support you get from them. I took them on a weekend trip to Savannah the day I got them, and had no complaints as we walked around all afternoon. There was substantial arch support, and my back wasn’t achy or anything by the end of the day, which has been a somewhat common theme during my pregnancy, if I’m on my feet for a while.

Do the sandals run big?

These run a tad bit bigger than the traditional Miller sandal, which I usually have to size up in. So I recommend getting your normal size. If you have a narrow foot, size down a 1/2 size to a whole size. My foot grew a little bit during pregnancy, and I got an 8.5, and they fit perfectly with a little extra room at the toe.

How do the sandals compare to the original Tory Burch Miller sandal?

When the shoe is on, they have a very similar look. The biggest difference is the sole of the Cloud is much thicker. Here are the biggest differences between the two sandals:

Miller sandal

the Tory Burch Miller Sandals
  • $198
  • Best for a narrow foot
  • Minimal and sleek on the foot
  • Run smaller – I usually size up a 1/2 size
  • Leather variations (patent leather vs leather)
  • The patent option is more durable
  • May need a little breaking in depending on leather type

Miller cloud

the Tory Burch Miller Cloud Sandals in white
  • $228
  • Fits a regular to slightly wider foot better
  • Molded footbed in a soft leather
  • Arch support
  • Thicker foam sole for more standing comfort
  • Heavier than original (though still lightweight)
  • Run slightly bigger than the original
  • Noisier – makes a squishy noise when I walk
  • No break-in needed

WEAR UPDATE: As I saw in the reviews, the leather has not held up as well and has started to rub away from the foam sole in areas like the heel and toe. On my shoes, it’s been minimal, but if you’re looking for a sandal that will hold up for years, the ivory color may not be the pair for you. A darker pair may not show as much wear.

I’m still personally very happy with the purchase since they are much more supportive and comfortable, and I actually haven’t even reached for my original Millers since purchasing. I wanted to give you a heads up so you know what you’re investing in! I haven’t noticed a significant increase in the original wear and tear from the beginning.

Where to buy the Miller Cloud?

I purchased my Cloud sandals from Nordstrom. However, you can purchase them directly from the Tory Burch website and several other retailers like Bloomingdales. When they first came out, sizing and color options were limited, but have since continued designing more color variations. I always love shopping at Nordstrom, especially for shoes because they have such a lenient return policy should anything go wrong. They also have free shipping and returns.

How to style

Just like the original Miller sandals, these are very versatile to style, especially if you get them in a neutral color. Here are a few recent looks wearing the ivory color. My go-to way to style these are with dresses throughout spring and summer.

Any complaints?

My one concern with the material of this shoe is discoloration, especially since I got the light ivory color and love self tanner 🙂 But I’m pretty confident a magic eraser will clean them up if anything happens. I also want to mention they do make a light sticking sound when walking, potentially the leather and foam suctioning together or something. If you pronate, you may have more of a noise issue coming from the arch area, but a viewer who did have that issue placed a subtle arch support insole, which took care of it, and made them even more comfortable! It does seem like the noises have calmed down since initially wearing them, too.

Do they ever go on sale?

Tory Burch is known to have a lot of exclusions during their sales. You can sometimes get lucky and find the neutral Tory Burch Miller sandals on sale, but sizing always flies off the shelves. A few color options are currently on sale, so click around at the options below to see if you find a color and your size available.
