As we approach the last few weeks of summer, it seems like all we can think about is fall! And with that comes another jammed packed season full of weddings, baby showers and more. I’m rounding up the best fall wedding guest dresses below! However, you could wear most of these to just about any fall event this season.
When it comes to fall weddings, the weather can vary greatly. I’ve been to September weddings that are in the eighties, and October weddings that are in the low sixties. Depending on whether you are going to be inside or outside, and what time of day the wedding is, this may dictate your choice of dress. For an evening wedding, I usually opt for a midi or maxi length dress. For a Sunday brunch wedding, you may want something with florals that is slightly more casual.
Fall Wedding Guest Dress Roundup
If you’re wanting to look chic without investing a ton of money in another dress, this roundup is for you. I know I love having a new dress for occasions, but the more full my social calendar gets, the tighter the budget becomes. My go-to retailer is usually Petal + Pup! I love that they have affordable dresses, usually less than $100, that are on trend and great quality. I also love Nordstrom made brands as well as Red Dress Boutique.
For those chillier evenings, this wrap is the perfect addition to any wedding guest look. It comes in a variety of colors, and chic layer for your evening out. This wrap is also great for travel.

I found some great options at Express recently that are perfect for the fall season. I love the metallic of the maxi dress with the bow detail at the shoulder. This would work well for a formal wedding. The satin deep teal dress has a pretty ruffle detail around the neckline and hemline. This dress would work well for a cocktail-attire dress code.
If you’re on the hunt for a dress that is the perfect combination of affordable and also great quality, this roundup is for you! I’m loving all the warm colors. Even the floral patterns have a fall feel to them. Many of these dresses you could wear for other occasions that you may have coming up as well. Pair with heels and a quilted bag for a wedding guest look.

Sometimes it’s worth investing a little extra money in a great dress that you love! I know I’m willing to spend a little extra on a piece if it’s something I’ll wear for multiple occasions and is great quality. I personally have amazing luck with Nordstrom and Reformation when it comes to splurge-worthy dresses. Whether you are wanting to opt for a pretty floral pattern or maybe a classic silhouette, you can’t go wrong with either. I also have good luck browsing the dress sections at Bloomingdales and Revolve for more unique, fun dresses.
