Some women consider themselves more of a handbag girl, but I have always been a shoe lover! One of my favorite things to do in high school was go to the mall and browse the different shoe styles with my Mom. We were both the same size, so often we could justify new shoe purchases since we could both wear them. Which as a teenager, this was basically a dream come true because it meant I had double the shoe wardrobe. Not much has changed since then! We still love checking out the latest shoe selection, only now we do a little more online browsing!

Sam Edelman is one of my go-to brands for footwear. I don’t think I’ve ever tried on a pair that wasn’t comfortable, heels included! I personally, have found that their ankle strap heels are some of the best. All Sam Edelman shoes have their staple forefoot padding and feature soft, buttery suede and leathers. The price point is very competitive for the quality and I can actually feel that quality when wearing them throughout the day. Can you tell I’m a fan!?
Today, I wanted to highlight the styles from Sam Edelman I consider fall wardrobe staples, plus, I have a special promo code just for you!
Fall Shoe Staples for Every Occasion
ankle bootie
An ankle bootie is my most worn shoe throughout fall and winter. They are a more casual style than a knee-high boot, but still elevate your outfit. I picked up the Codie ankle bootie because I love the rich chocolate color and slimmer fit through the ankle. They will pair well with a skinny jean, leggings, and dresses. Since it has a squared-toe, I recommend picking up your normal size.
knee high boot
I’ve had this Hai boot since last year and it’s been in constant rotation ever since. They’re made of a very soft suede, and can be dressed up with fall dresses, paired with sweater dresses, or styled casually with jeans. They have a very slight slouch, which may work well if you’re petite. I personally sized up a half size in this style, as I typically prefer a little extra room in boots for socks. The heel height is very comfortable and easy to walk in.
casual sneaker
A great pair of sneakers is my go-to style when I have a lot of errands or know I’ll be on my feet all day. You can pair them with dresses for a sporty look, or leggings for a ultra casual look. Last fall I was on the hunt for the perfect pair of white sneakers. I tested out dozens of different pairs from $25 to $800. See which pair was the winner in this post! And if you already have a pair of sneakers you love, here is some inspiration for how to style them multiple ways!
loafer
A loafer style flat can work in your work wardrobe but also pair nicely with jeans and sweaters for a casual look. I love the Loraine loafer in white because it really pops, but it comes in a ton of colors! These loafers run TTS and are very comfortable right out of the box. A leopard loafer is also a fun way to add a pop of print to your fall and winter wardrobe. I love pairing this Emelie leopard loafer with neutrals.
neutral heel
This heel can be your go to for dressier work environments, fall weddings and events, and even during the holidays. A comfortable nude pump like this one is a wardrobe staple if you ask me! The hazel pump has been a best-selling style for years because they are so comfortable. I’ve worn these all day at work before and was still able to walk at the end of the day. That says a lot considering a PT is on their feet quit a bit. They come in multiple styles and colors. I do recommend picking up your normal size.
statement heel

Lastly, one of my favorite types of shoes is a statement heel! While I don’t break these out a ton, I love any occasion that gives me an excuse to wear them. While they are more of an investment you can find more affordable options. I have found that while statement heels are usually so fun, and you’ll likely receive a ton of compliments, they aren’t always the most comfortable.
