There are lots of fun women’s fashion trends right now, but none are as comfortable as the jogger. Joggers aren’t just for loungewear anymore, and I’m not mad about it. You can dress them up for an office outfit or dress them down for a more street-style look. Their versatility and comfort will make you want to wear joggers all.the.time! You’ll be surprised just how many cute outfits you can put together, using the joggers as your guide.
Joggers can be described as lounge pants with an elastic waistband and functional drawstring. They taper at or above the ankle with elastic at each end. Generally, joggers are made with a breathable material whereas sweatpants are made from a heavier, thicker material. You may also have heard of harem pants, which are baggy, loose-fitting pants that also taper at each ankle with elastic.
Today, I’m going to show you five different ways to wear your joggers.
6 Cute Ways to Wear Joggers
I put together 6 jogger outfits to show just how versatile and fun they can be to wear – and not just for binging Netflix on the couch. 🙂
Joggers With a Trench Coat
This first jogger pants outfit is the perfect airport outfit or for simply running errands. These joggers have the most adorable ruffle detail at the top. This striped t-shirt could easily be tucked in to show off the ruffle or can be left untucked. Style casual white trainers and a trench coat with the joggers to finish off this effortlessly-chic outfit option.
Joggers With a Plaid Blazer
Pairing a blazer with joggers instantly elevates the whole look, perfect for brunch, happy hour or a casual dinner. I prefer a bodysuit underneath blazers, so I don’t have any unnecessary bulk. Finish the look with these comfortable, neutral mules.
Joggers With a Bobble Sweater
If you’re all about details, this cardigan is for you. I love the little pom-poms and balloon sleeve. Cardigans are a popular fashion style trend, and this one is a great option to add to your wardrobe. Pair the sweater with a lace cami and my all-time favorite flats for church, wedding/baby shower or casual days at the office.
Joggers With a Ruffle Top
Not all joggers are a cotton, casual material. These fashion joggers are a silky fabric, which makes them instantly look dressier and more sophisticated. Usually, you’d see this outfit styled with black pants. So these joggers are a nice change up to the typical work-appropriate outfit. Pair these with a ruffle top and some pumps, and this outfit is perfect for work, a rehearsal dinner or a night out. You’ll feel confident, yet comfortable in this fashion-forward look.
Joggers with a Graphic Tee
If you’re someone who dresses casual more often, I think you’ll appreciate this one. It’s casual yet fun and trendy with the graphic tee and sneakers. Add a denim jacket with a crossbody bag. The perfect outfit for family adventures to the park, running errands or, yes, binge-watching your favorite show.
Joggers with a Denim Jacket
A denim jacket is the perfect option when you want to look casual and cute. This one from Old Navy is my favorite because it has a close fit and doesn’t look boxy. I’m wearing my normal size small, but if you have broad shoulders you may want to size up.
