Recently I took a girls’ trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and we had a blast! Have you ever been? We actually took a trip to Jackson Hole last year and it was also a really great family vacation spot, too. If you’re looking for a getaway from the summer heat of the South with stunning views, lots of outdoor activities to do, and amazing food, Jackson Hole might be the perfect spot for you.
If I’ve talked you into it, then you’ve landed in the right spot. In this post, I’m sharing more about the details of what I packed and wore throughout my trip. Let’s jump in!
Jackson Hole Travel Guide For The Family
In September, we went on a family vacation to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I visited Jackson for a day trip years ago when my family visited Yellowstone and we were driving through, but it was Tim’s first time visiting Jackson Hole…

Travel Outfit
This is what I wore for our travel day to Jackson Hole. Admittedly, when I travel I prefer to be covered up because I’m a bit of a germaphobe on planes! I decided to wear this sweatshirt to stay comfy, and I paired it with my all-time favorite pair of Spanx leggings. I also wore my most comfortable sneakers with crew socks. These socks are the best for travel because they’re compressive, which is helpful for the plane! And of course, I had to grab my go-to sunglasses. I packed my essentials in my trusted carry-on luggage bag and my favorite expandable travel tote. For the plane, I packed my Kindle and these noise-canceling headphones to keep me occupied. Lastly, I highly recommend traveling with AirTags in your luggage so that way you can keep track of them at all times!

Horseback riding outfit
For horseback riding, you’ll want to wear boots that have a small heel on them to help your foot stay in the saddle. I also recommend wearing comfortable jeans with a good amount of stretch to them. You can also wear leggings for horseback riding, but they might not cushion your booty as much as you want them to! I’m also really glad I wore this bandana because it got pretty dusty on the trail throughout the ride. And of course, be sure to wear sun protection like a hat and a light layer like this denim shirt to protect you from intense sun rays!

shacket and denim shorts outfit
If you’ll end up visiting Jackson Hole or somewhere similar during a transitional time of the year, I would consider a shacket a must-have item to pack! I’ve packed one for two trips now and I’m so happy that I did. I paired it with this easy and comfortable body suit, my favorite pair of denim shorts, a hat, and my white western boots. I actually ended up wearing these boots every day of the trip!

mini skirt and western boots outfit
For dinner, we both went for western looks by styling mini skirts with boots and hats! This was a look that was very simple to put together because these are all pieces that I will continue to style with other non-western looks, too. I wore a denim mini skirt with this mock neck sweater top, my white western boots, a white belt, and my trusted hat.

floral mini dress outfit
For a feminine western look, this outfit is for you. This floral mini-dress is absolutely gorgeous, and the details really come through when you see it in person. And it might surprise you that it’s from Amazon! But as a fair warning, it runs a little tight in the chest. So if you’re between sizes, I recommend sizing up! To add a feminine touch, I added white pieces such as this white belt and these white western boots. I even added these pearl hoop earrings, because you know I love a pearl moment!

white midi denim skirt outfit
Styling this white midi denim skirt was a bit of a challenge for me at first, but I absolutely love how this look turned out. I went for an all-white look by pairing it with this white western button-down shirt and my white western boots. To add the perfect western touches, I also added these turquoise statement earrings and this turquoise chain belt. And of course, I topped off the look with this hat.

white midi dress outfit
Another feminine western dress from Amazon for the win! I really love how flowy and comfortable this dress is. I styled this dress with these fold-over western booties and a silk bandana. We actually had custom hats made while we were in Jackson Hole, and I loved how mine turned out! Having a custom hat made was so much fun, and I highly recommend doing it too if you’ll be taking a trip to Jackson Hole. Since it’s custom I can’t link it, but here is a similar hat I found.

white mini dress outfit
For a white mini dress look, this white eyelet tiered dress is a gorgeous option. I added brown pieces such as these fold-over western booties and this studded belt to add a western touch. And of course, you can’t forget a hat! This look would also be perfect for a country concert.

white mini dress with denim shirt outfit
The town area in Jackson Hole is certainly worth a visit. We had so much fun roaming from shop to shop and seeing all of the unique local shops – it was so charming! For a day out in the town, I styled this white mini dress with a bow with my white western boots and a denim shirt to go over my shoulders.

That sums up my outfit journey from our trip to Jackson Hole! It was so much fun to visit Jackson Hole again, and this time, with so many great friends for a girls’ getaway. For this trip, I specifically challenged myself to style western looks in a feminine way, and I think these outfits turned out great! I had a lot of fun styling these looks, and even more fun wearing them.
