Cardigan Styled with Cropped Flare Pants
For a business casual look, style black cropped pants with a fitted turtleneck and the Juliette cardigan from J.Crew. I styled Chanel flats with the look, but you could also wear a pump if you prefer those to wear to work. It’s an easy fall and winter workwear look, you can reach for again and again.
Blazer Styled with Cropped Flare Pants
Next in this round up of the best black work pants, I styled the same cropped flare pants with a blazer. This is more of a business professional look. I layered a fitted turtleneck underneath the blazer and finished the look with my very favorite pumps.

Ankle Pants Styled with a Tie-Waist Blazer
Next, I styled an ankle pant with a tie-waist blazer. This blazer can take you from work to happy hour. It’s made of a satin material, so it gives the overall look a super luxe look and feel. I layered a simple black, long-sleeve bodysuit underneath the blazer for a seamless fit.
Peplum Sweater Top with Black Flare Pants
For work, I’d recommend a trench coat or wool coat to wear to work in the fall and winter. A regular puffer coat is more for casual looks. I styled a sweater peplum top with these flare pants. A pump is the best choice for shoes when it comes to styling flare pants because it will make your legs look longer.
Cropped Flare Pants Styled with a Button Down
Both the top and the bottom of this look are from Spanx, and love both pieces. The button down top is so versatile because you can tuck it into your black work pants for a workwear look. Or you can style the top more casually with leggings or straight jeans on the weekends or for casual fridays.

Belted Duster Styled with Ankle Pants
With an ankle pant, a belted duster pairs well for a business casual look. Because the duster is a more forgiving fit, the ankle pants balance the look out. I paired my favorite Tory Burch flats to complete the look.
Ankle Pants Styled with a Sweater Blazer
The exact ruffle neck top is sold out, but love this Spanx mock neck bodysuit to pair with blazers, cardigans, sweater blazers etc. A sweater blazer has the comfort of a cardigan, but the silhouette of a blazer, so it gives you a more professional look than your typical cardigan. I completed this look with the Sam Edelman loafers that I used to wear all the time as a physical therapist. They’re stylish and comfortable!
Oversized Sweater with Ankle Pants
This is a fall and winter workwear uniform that you can style with several sweaters in your closet. An oversized sweater pairs well with ankle pants. Black Pants with Button Up Cardigan
This button down sweater cardigan features tipped details on the trim with gorgeous gold buttons. It’s a legging-friendly option that provides good coverage to the backside, and can easily be paired with jeans too. Straight Pants with a Cropped Tweed Blazer
The last styled look in this round up of the best black pants features a cropped blazer. This exact tweed option is sold out, but linked a similar neutral cropped blazer above. With a cropped blazer, it has a closer fit to the body, so pairing with straight legs to wide-legs would be best options with this type of jacket.
