Back-to-school season is here. Kids are shopping for all things back to school right now. But we can’t let them have all the fun. 😉 So today I’m sharing a variety of back-to-school work outfit ideas for teachers. This week, I also shared a workwear reel you won’t want to miss HERE.
I just released August’s lookbook which includes a workwear capsule wardrobe for elevated work looks. With these staple work pieces, you can create buildable looks with endless outfit combinations! These workwear pieces are what I consider to be wardrobe staples. They are pieces that can easily be mixed and matched and paired with new items in your wardrobe to carry you through the whole year! So many of these are the exact items I would wear daily when I was working as a PT.

Each month, I create a lookbook of curated outfit ideas. To view all the looks you can wear now from this month’s lookbook, drop your name and email below!

Midi Skirt

Shop the Looks
This solid satin midi skirt is a fun alternative to wearing pants to work. It’s a pull-on style, making it ultra comfortable. The skirt comes in so.many.colors and currently on sale for only $30! You can see that you can easily dress it up with a blazer and bodysuit or dress it down a bit with a simple, feminine top.
Black Ankle Pants

These are my favorite black work pants. If you’re looking for pants that feel like sweats, these are it. They’re a pull-on style and have a good amount stretch to them, which is appreciated throughout the day at work. You can use AMANDAJOHNxSPANX for 10% off your purchase at Spanx.
White Trousers

Who doesn’t love a fun casual Friday? These super high-waisted white straight pants are another great staple pant to mix and match with different sweaters, tops, cardigans and blazers. They also come in four other colors, and the fit is super flattering. I also love that they’re cropped, so they work well if you’re more petite too.

This ruffle tank is a great staple workwear piece. The ruffle detail elevates the top and has hidden buttons all the way down underneath the ruffle. Pair it with blazers or cardigans or wear alone. I’m wearing a size small, and fits true to size. I draped over this poncho cardigan and has sewn sides. It’s not too bulky and lays really nicely.
These paperbag pants are a great light-colored pant option, and love the tie detail. They’re really high-waisted, making them a flattering fit.

This dress is something you can wear now. It’s lightweight and will keep you cool in the hot August heat. I’m wearing a size small, and it’s a little roomy. So you could size down if you wanted a closer fit. The scalloped detail on the bottom with the ruffles at the top add a unique and feminine touch to the dress.

This grid sweater is 100 percent cotton, and drapes nicely. It’s a little bit longer in the back to give you extra coverage. And love the warmer tones for the fall and winter months. This would also pair well with jeans and booties for a casual look. And then again, I paired with the Spanx black work pants. Seriously the best!

This drapey faux wrap top has a peplum shape. It features a hook at the bust to keep everything secure. And love the added ruffle on the sleeve for an extra detail. It comes in three colors and runs true to size. I paired with white jeans. But if you need a more dressy pant, you can pair black trousers with the shirt.
