We have a special guest on the blog, my sweet husband Tim! It’s rare that he makes an appearance around here, so when he does, you know we have something good to share. As we count down the final days until Baby J arrives, We’ve been stocking up on all things summer. We know our trips to the stores will be limited for these next few months so Tim and I wanted to make sure we both had summer essentials that we could wear all season long that were comfortable, cute and most of all affordable. I’m so excited to share with you 5 summer looks under $50 that we found from Walmart’s line Free Assembly.
Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring today’s post!

This green dress happens to work great with the baby bump. I love that it is loose fitting and is a great mid thigh length. I’m wearing my normal size small. I can also see myself wearing this throughout summer post-partum. If you have a beach vacation coming up, you could easily wear this as a coverup as well. I paired it here with my favorite Walmart bow sandals. But it would also look cute with a denim jacket or white sneakers. The see even more ways to style white sneakers, check out this post!
Tim opted for a classic summer look with a navy and white striped tee and chino shorts. He loves just how soft and comfortable this tee is. And he has been wearing those shorts on repeat lately. So it’s safe to say he loves them! They have a good amount of stretch in them so he’ll wear them working from home or on the weekend when we do a casual date night. He isn’t a fan of the shorter mens shorts, so he loves the 9 inch inseam on these!

This next look would be perfect for a casual date night. I styled this dress two ways to show you just how versatile a piece like this can be. Layer a tee over the top and simply fold it under or knot it, if it’s a little more oversized. You could also easily trade out the dress for heels like these ones from Walmart and add a crossbody bag or a straw tote. Because this dress is made out of cotton, it’s super comfortable and stretchy. This would also make for a great travel day dress if you have a long car ride this summer.

If you’ve been on the hunt for a piece that you can grab and throw on while still looking cute, then this dress is for you! I love how comfortable it is. I sized up one from my normal size to accommodate the baby bump. However, I would recommend you grabbing your normal size. You can wear this for a summer picnic, trip to the farmers market or just running errands on a busy Saturday. This dress also has a great work appropriate length and I think the material works for summer workwear in a casual environment.
Tim opted for a casual button down and these navy chino shorts. He loves the length of the shorts because they hit right above the knee. The print on this button down is subtly enough that it can be dressed up or worn casually. If you are wanted to take this look up a notch, you could tuck this shirt into dress pants and add a great pair of loafer. Or you could pair it with a swimsuit and sandals for a beach vacation. It truly is the definition of versatile.

Right now I’m living in easy dresses and sandals, but I’m dreaming of the days when I can wear denim shorts and sweet little tanks like this tie top one. I couldn’t resist this sweet navy dress as well. It also comes in a pretty red color that would be perfect for the Fourth of July! Or you could pair together the denim shorts and white top for a classic summertime look. Add a headband or hair scarf to elevate your look.

I had Tim round up a few more of his favorites from Walmart Free Assembly line. He’s a big fan of easy shorts, button downs and a great pocket tee. These are his go-to staple pieces that he will wear time and time again. The best part is most of these pieces are less than $20. Which is amazing considering the overall quality is great on everything we’ve purchased from this line. Whether you are on the hunt for last minute Father’s Day gift or just wanting to spruce up your man’s summer wardrobe, I would highly recommend checking out the Free Assembly line.
