September has arrived, and I couldn’t be more excited. Though I know technically it’s still summer until September 22, I feel like this month is the kickoff to transitioning our wardrobe. The key to transitioning your summer-to-fall wardrobe is to start replacing bright colors with a warmer color palette like pretty plums, dusty rose and deep greens. The scarves, boots and jackets can wait until it actually feels like fall, which will be a while in Georgia. This months look book is all about fall fashion, and I’m sharing a sneak peak of the 20+ summer to fall transitional outfits that are included. If you want your copy of the lookbook, keep reading!

Summer to Fall Transitional Outfits + How to Style Them
This fall casual look is a great option for casual outings on the weekends. You don’t have to say goodbye to white jeans throughout the fall. They’re a great staple to style different tops from plaid button-downs like this one above to flowy blouses and oversized cardigans. A neutral bootie is a must-have for fall because they can be easily dressed up or down with denim, dresses or skirts.

Bring a little fall into your workwear by adding a warm-colored blouse with black trousers or a pencil skirt. Both these blouses have the most gorgeous detailing. The first one has a pretty scalloped detail while the other has a peplum waist with a ruffle sleeve. Pencil skirts are a great basic for work throughout the year. However, try wearing a suede, knit or faux leather skirt to make it more seasonal. I finished both looks with a basic nude heel. I love this specific pair because they’re comfortable and classic – great for work, weddings or other occasions.

Fall became the most popular time of year for weddings, and for good reason. The weather is usually perfect and the beauty of the fall leaves just can’t be beat. This dusty rose, tiered maxi dress is a show-stopper and on-trend for the fall season. The tie-waist detail with the balloon sleeves is feminine and chic. I paired the dress with these gorgeous pointed toe mules. The pleated detail is so unique, and they can easily be worn to work too.

The first look would be a great option to wear to a bridal shower, brunch or church. I love pairing knee-high boots with shorter dresses because the boots give you the extra bit of coverage when it’s slightly chilly. Add this short-sleeve ruana for a pretty layered look. The second look is the perfect outfit for going out to dinner with your friends or significant other. Try pairing these braided heels with denim while the weather’s transitioning. Pairing a felt hat with any outfit completely elevates the look, and it’s also great for extending your hair in-between washes. 🙂

This is a versatile outfit because it can be labeled as a business casual look to wear to work or to wear on the weekends. I love this pretty green floral skirt with the slits on the sides. You can pair a basic tee or a body suit with a skirt like this, so the shirt doesn’t add any unnecessary bulk when you have it tucked in. You could also pair this skirt with an oversized sweater and put a belt around your waist to define your natural waistline. I finished the look with my favorite pair of neutral mules. They’re so comfortable and can be worn casually or to work.
