I like to try something out of my comfort zone every try on haul, and usually that items ends up being my favorite thing! These mom jeans were from my American Eagle try on haul and I’ve reached for them so much throughout May!

If you’re like wait, what’s the difference between a mom jean and boyfriend jean? It’s all in the fit! Mom jeans have a higher rise, which I’m all about lately because it keeps everything “in”. The higher waist elongates your hips. Boyfriend jeans are similar but not high-rise and slightly baggier throughout the hips and leg. I sized down to a 4 in the mom jeans for a more flattering fit.

To keep the look feminine, I paired it with a pink knotted tank top and these fun floral flats. The flats are such a cute statement and will make ay basic outfit less boring. When wearing a baggier fitted jean, you want to balance out the top with either a fitted top or something tucked in to frame your shape. I used a clear hair tie to form a simple knotted look here.
