Wait? You spent THAT much on a blanket? Yes, even on sale during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale they are still pricy, but let’s talk about why I’ve justified two Barefoot Dreams blankets in my house over the last two years in this review.
Barefoot Dreams Blanket Review
A little backstory on this blanket. I remember seeing Khloe Kardashian with the leopard version of these blanket years ago, and when I realized it was this blanket and saw the price, I was like thanks…but no thanks. I didn’t understand why anyone in their right mind would spend $180 full price on a blanket. No way it could be that good, right??
Well I’m not sure if it’s an emotional attachment at this point or what, but now I’m that crazy person with TWO barefoot dreams blankets. How did I get here you ask?
After seeing some hype on the blanket during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I finally decided to just try it. If I’m going to ever get one, it’s gotta be on sale ($119) for me justify trying it. Plus, I had a gift card that covered most of the purchase. So I bought my first blanket in 2017 and I’ve never looked back. The same blanket is actually on my lap now while I work on this post. It’s pretty much always by my side in the house.
Fast forward to this past Christmas, and my husband requests me to pick up another so he can have one. Yes, Tim knows how expensive this blanket is 🙂 So I ordered a second one when they restocked during Christmas so we have one for up and downstairs.
Which blanket should I get?
I have the In the Wild blanket because it’s large I like the two-tone coloring. They come in a few shade variations depending on your preference and home decor. These blankets are 54×72 inches. Both my husband and I can use the same blanket when sitting on the couch. It’s also great for taller people because of the size and it doesn’t shrink up in the wash.
You can pick up a smaller version from Nordstrom Rack from time to time for around $50, which is a great deal! Just know it will be smaller. Follow me in the free LTK shopping app if you want alerts on when those blankets restock. They go fast! Those are usually 45×60 inches.
Can you wash them?
Absolutely! I wash mine on a cold-gentle cycle and tumble dry low. Although it doesn’t feel the same as it does in-store when you buy it, it’s still just as cozy two years later. It’s not recommended to use fabric softener.
Is it worth the price?
If you’re a homebody like me or you love to curl up on the couch under a blanket every night, without any hesitation I think it’s worth it. I sleep with it every night because my husband likes to turn the air down to sleep. When I think about how many days I’ve use it, it’s easily my most used purchase from the sale (or ever!).

I think if you’re on the fence or just want to understand the hype, you’ll get it once you try it for yourself!
