It’s officially fall, which means all things pumpkins have started to make their way onto the shelves of stores and into all the flavors of food. I don’t usually decor a ton for fall, but this year I had the urge to make our front porch a little more festive. After all, this is Josie’s first fall, why not make it a good one! My immediate thought was, let me check out Walmart’s home decor section on their website. I’ve always had amazing luck in the past and this time was no different. I came across so many good fall home decor finds that I ended up making 3 fall front porch ideas. Now the tricky part is deciding which one to go with!
Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring today’s post!

I naturally gravitate towards lighter color pallets and neutral colors. As soon as I spotted these plaid pumpkins, this first fall front porch idea came to life. The gold lanterns are perfect for adding a touch of glam while still being functional. Add a few white candles to help light up your space at night. This is great for Halloween when trick or treaters are out too! I opted for this fun wooden pumpkin sign to hang next to the door. Simply use 3m tape so that you don’t damage the outside of your home. Then round out the look with white pumpkins in varying sizes. I love these faux ones because you can use them year after year, but I’m also a sucker for real pumpkins too! Don’t forget to add a festive wreath and doormat to complete the look. I’ve rounded up a few more wreath and doormat options below as well!

This next fall front porch idea is giving me Studio Mcgee vibes. Maybe it’s the modern black lanterns in the varying sizes or the plaid doormat, but this front porch idea is timeless is you ask me. The velvet pillows add a little warmth to your porch, and tie in perfectly to the autumn inspired wreath. I love that the metal pumpkin patch sign and stacked pumpkins tie together the color palette seamlessly. You could also add a few real heirloom pumpkins from your local Walmart store to complete the look!

This natural looking eucalyptus wreath is a great option if you aren’t wanting to trade out your wreath season after season. Instead, you can add a seasonal bow to the front and you’ll instantly have a festive looking wreath. For fall I opted for a burlap ribbon to compliment the buffalo plaid rug. However, as we move into the holiday season you could switch this out for a holiday red or even a festive red and green plaid one.
Add a few stacks of hay and stack. varying sizes of pumpkins on and around them to give your front porch a traditional fall feel. Feel free to layer a doormat on top of the plaid rug to create dimension. Remember, your doormat doesn’t have to be specific to fall to look the part. For the final touches I add this metal pumpkin to hang next to the door and this black rope handle lantern. I would purchase a few of the lanterns and group them together on the opposite side of the hay bales.
