New York City during the holidays is truly magical, although I may be partial because it’s actually the only time of year I’ve visited! But I have a few more trips planned back to the city in 2020. I fell in love with the energy, and it was fun to explore the different pockets of neighborhoods throughout our stay. We landed in NYC early Sunday and left late Friday so we had plenty of time to explore without feeling rushed. It was a mix of work and play with my two girlfriends Amanda from Pardon Muah and Hoang Kim from Color and Chic. Here’s a round-up of what we did while visiting the city during Christmas.
pink at the plaza
When we arrived in NYC we had a photo shoot for a special project with LIKEtoKNOW.it. We wanted to dress in pink monochromatic outfits for a pink and The Plaza theme.
sip and shop at Bryant Park
During Christmas, I highly recommend strolling by the Bryant Park Christmas Market! We picked up a hot apple cider and grabbed fresh hot waffles for a late breakfast.
snow day in central park
We got so lucky to see a little snow during our stay! We all put on our cozy puffer coats and Sorel boots to walk through Central Park and see the flurries.
surprise proposal at Wollman Rink
We kept warm with hot-hands and double layers of leggings for ice skating in Central Park! We knew a surprise proposal was also on the agenda 😉 You can read the full story here!
We had another photoshoot at Top of the Rock for a great view of the city. Again we got lucky with the weather… I thought we would freeze but it was very mild!
sassy sequin dresses
We were there for the holidays, but we also wanted to put together a sequin outfit for NYE!
Christmas Dresses at The Palace
For our last day in the city, we wanted to get one last picture for Christmas in front of the iconic tree at The Palace. You Gossip Girls will definitely recognize this place! We dressed in Draper James’ signature plaid then shopped around for our last few hours in the city before flying home.
