Q&A

Hey friends! I’ve been redesigning my blog over the weekend and as I was categorizing older posts, I realized I have sorta lost my voice here on Strawberry Chic. I used to write more personally and chat with y’all about life in my posts, and I wanted to bring that back. Instead of focusing on my outfit, I want to start writing about why and where I wore it! I hope this Q&A is a quick way for you to get to know me a little better. If you have any other random questions, leave me a comment below! The juicer the better 😉

WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

I’ve lived in GA my whole life, only moving away from my hometown of Woodstock GA for college. I went to Columbus State for two years where I played softball, transferred and graduated from Kennesaw State University, then moved to Savannah, GA for Physical Therapy school. I now live in Kennesaw, GA.

WOULD YOU EVER MOVE?

Move houses, yes eventually. Move out of state? Probably not until we retire. Tim and I at one time talked about moving to Arizona, but we aren’t really risks takers and that seems like a lot of work. Both of our parents live about 20 minutes away and we always want to try to stay pretty close to them! But never say never.

HOW OLD ARE YOU?

I’m 29. My birthday is January 4th, so the big 3-0 is right around the corner.

HOW TALL ARE YOU?

I’m 5’5”

HIDDEN TALENT?

I’m very good at impersonating people. Tim wants to put a hidden camera in the car and start a YouTube channel called front seat concerts, haha! I can also walk on my toes like a ballerina, and I’m really flexible even though I never stretch.

WHEN ARE YOU STARTING A FAMILY?

We answered that question here.

DO YOU WEAR HAIR EXTENSIONS?

I don’t during the work week, but for blog content and when I’m going out with friends I feel much more confident wearing hair extensions! I’m obsessed with Hidden Crown hair extensions. I wear them to add thickness to my hair.

FAVORITE RESTAURANT?

I’m embarrassed to admit I still order kids chicken fingers at Longhorn.

FAVORITE VACATION?

Easily our honeymoon in Hawaii. Tim and I have wanted to start a YouTube channel together, so if you don’t want to miss our first video go ahead and subscribe! You can be apart of the OG fam 🙂 I think the first video will be our honeymoon vlog. I’ve held onto the footage for 2.5 years!

FAVORITE CITY?

Rome, Italy was my favorite city to visit so far. London is a close second because I’m obsessed with the Royal family.

FAVORITE COLOR?

To no surprise pink, but I also love light blue.

WHY DID YOU START YOUR BLOG?

I started my blog at the end of 2013 over Christmas break after a very stressful start to Physical Therapy school. I didn’t know what to do with spare time anymore, and I had contemplated starting one as a creative distraction from school. Once I decided to pull the trigger, I threw it together on blogger with the first name I thought of. I don’t even remember my first blog post, but I don’t think I want to look back at them, haha. I didn’t think anyone would ever see this or I would still be blogging now, but I love it!

WHAT DO YOU DO FULL TIME?

I’m an outpatient physical therapist where I treat musculoskeletal impairments after surgery or an injury. I love helping people get back to doing the activities they love without pain! I feel like a lot of people don’t really understand what Physical Therapists really do (especially in comparison to a chiropractor), so I would love to answer any questions you have about my career.

DO YOU WANT TO EVENTUALLY BLOG FULL TIME?

Hmm, that’s hard to say because blogging doesn’t feel like a job to me because I just love doing it. I don’t see myself becoming a full-time blogger, because sponsored posts really stress me out.  If I did more of those it would probably start feeling like a job. I think ideally I would love to split my work week 50/50 between blogging/youtube and being a PT so I can have more of a work like balance on the weekends.

HOW DID YOU MEET YOUR HUSBAND (TIM)?

We met at work only a few months before I was leaving for PT school. I actually did my interview one week after our first date, so the majority of our relationship was long distance. It was hard at times, but I really needed that space to focus on school and grow as an individual. I actually knew he was the one pretty much right away. You can get to know us a little moreQ&A here.

I hope you enjoyed todays Q&A!
